Page Rank Update
admin — April 3, 2009 - 09:44
Page Rank , popularly known as PR in the SEO field is one of the most important factors to be considered while performing SEO optimization. Google ensures that this update take place once every 3 to 4 months.
Page rank is basically an important algorithm calculated by the Search Engine Giant Google ,and assigns a numerical value to each of the pages of an website. The numerical value is between 0 to 10,with the value 10 representing the maximum weight age. It can be seen in the Page Rank attribute of Google Toolbar. The previous update was held on December 31st 2008.The latest update of the page rank has taken place on April 2nd.
We have seen some weird scenarios in some of our sites. Some sites with good contents for blog have received high PR’s of even 4 while another blog with latest and good contents are still lagging behind in PR.For this blog, the PR is still in the “No Page Rank Rank Information Available” state. This was quite a surprise and didn’t seem logical at all. While searching for a logical solution to this, was encountered with a relevant content at the following forum:
forums.seochat.com/google-page-rank-47/google-dance-started-242444.html
This forum refers that Google is still updating the PR.Values in some data centers are yet to be updated. Also, the solution provided here is to use the Future Page Rank checker tool to determine the PR in all the data centres of Google .One such useful tool is seen in searchenginegenie.com/future-pagerank-checking.html.When we gave the name of our blog which had no PR , some data centers showed PR of 4 and other data centers showed a value of 0.By the end of the day,the same blog value had a Page Rank of 4.
