Tips before begining a PPC campaign

admin — May 28, 2009 - 12:07

Pay-per-click (PPC) search engines are the ones which offer the online marketing method known as "pay-per-click" to users. PPC advertising involves the placement of a small ad on the search engine results page(SERP) for a specific keyword or keywords in return for a specified payment when a visitor actually clicks on the ad.Advertisers pay only a certain amount (which they have bid for) when a net user clicks on the ad.They are not entitled to pay for the ads to appear on the search page.

1.The first and most important step while beginning a PPC campaign is to determine the budget as well the level of risk that your are willing to adopt.Through deciding these 2 aspects, eventually helps in confirming the best search engines to be used. Google Adwords,Yahoo Search Marketing and Microsoft Adcenter are the usually most preferred ones.

2.Next,you can move on to select your keywords. There exists several tools to help in researching keywords. These tools also assist in revealing bids for specific words, which are unique to each search engine.

3.Creation of the headline which will appear on the search results page, description of the product ,service offered by you as well as other text promoting your product site etc would be the next step.

4.The procedure to be followed next is to open an account with PPC search engine which is free. While registering the account, provide all the necessary details as in name ,company name ,address, email address, phone number etc.The charges would not apply until you bid on the keywords and have funded your account.
